HYPHEN SALON PROJECT

MOB CAPSULE
A Solo Exhibition by Lee Joowon
June 1 – 15, 2024 | TAA SEOUL

The fifth edition of the Hyphen Salon Project, MOB CAPSULE, opened on June 1st at TAA SEOUL, featuring painter Lee Joowon (@likewon).

Lee’s work captures the mood of our time through the attitude, posture, and clothing of crowds. Drawing from everyday scenes, he collages gestures and silhouettes into paintings that document the present as a living archive. In MOB CAPSULE, the artist distills the contemporary crowd into a single, compact visual capsule — part social record, part emotional landscape.

The exhibition moves beyond the traditional white cube, unfolding in an everyday space that reflects Hyphen’s mission to blur the boundaries between art and life. It’s a quiet but powerful reflection on how we see the people around us — and what it means to live through this moment.

Creative Silver provided photography coverage for the event, capturing the exhibition’s atmosphere, the people, and the moments that made the opening day special.
